28th Rotary Christmas Tree Gala 2024

The programme’s highlight was an exciting auction of unique items, which raised a record 36,500 złoty. The donated lots included a ball signed by Igi Świątek, an elegant necklace and a print by Andrzeja Mleczki.

All proceeds from the Gala will provide financial support for the innovative SENS project, a pilot programme developing methods, techniques and standards for working with children with psychogenic disorders and their families. Rotary Club Warszawa City is implementing the project in cooperation with the Foundation of the Institute of Mother and Child and the club’s partners. A second important charitable objective is to continue helping Ukraine, including support for kindergartens in Kryvyi Rih and business training for Ukrainian women in Poland.

The evening featured a performance by Broadway Festival, a duo of soloists, Kai Mianowanej and Martina Fitcha. Accompanied by a band, they performed well-known and much-loved musical hits including ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Shallow’, ‘Tonight’, ‘The Beauty and the Beast’, ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and ‘Time of My Life’.

As has been the tradition for the past three years, the artistic programme included a Ukrainian contribution. This time, Mariia Ivanitska delighted the audience with her remarkable singing and her playing of the bandura, a rare folk instrument. Mariia, a student from Silesia, is supported by Rotary Club Katowice. Another Ukrainian highlight was the presence of an internationally renowned Ukrainian fashion designer. Andre Tan also donated one of his women’s outfits for auction at the Gala, and the Gala’s co-host wore an evening dress from his collection.

The Gala was hosted by Club Secretary Olena Shpak and PDG Andrzej Ludek, while Robert Tondera and Alex Kartsel led the auction with enthusiasm.

The event’s main financial sponsors were Tropical Garden, Scala and Profmedicus. In addition, dozens of other companies and individuals donated valuable gifts.

The 28th Rotary Christmas Tree Charity Gala once again demonstrated that helping people in need can go hand in hand with joy and enjoyment. We sincerely thank all donors, sponsors and guests for their support and for creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
